Scholarships

The University of South Carolina awards thousands of scholarships each year to current students. There are nearly 700 types of scholarships awarded by departments. Most of these scholarship awards are based on academic success.

Here are some notable examples:

The Business School awards millions of dollars worth of funding each year through donor-funded scholarships.
The College of Engineering and Computing offers nearly 100 undergraduate scholarships annually for deserving students, many of which reduce the cost of tuition.
The College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management awards 50 academic departmental scholarships each year to current undergraduate students, with awards ranging from $500 to $5,000; these also reduce the cost of tuition.

Deadlines for scholarship applications vary by department. Check your IAP newsletter to learn about the next scholarship information session. These are held each Fall and Spring.
