Undergraduates from all science departments at USC will be considered. Sophomores and Juniors will be given preference. A typical undergraduate in the lab will volunteer/take research for credit in the first 1-2 years and is expected to complete an undergraduate research project in the senior year.
Graduate students can enter the lab via the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences or the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Program at the School of Medicine. Prior laboratory research experience and entry as a summer Copenhaver rotation student (Dept. of Chem. only) is strongly preferred.
Applicants with a strong background in animal models, imaging, biochemical techniques and quantitative analysis and who are independent are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be motivated to perform at the highest level. Recent PhDs who are legally authorized to work in the US are preferred.
