Hiscox wins Mungo award

Geography professor honored for her undergraduate teaching

Professor April Hiscox was recognized as one of four winners of USC's Michael J. Mungo Undergraduate Teaching Award for 2023.  The award noted that her primary "goal is for students to unlearn limiting concepts to better understand the world" and that she uses "introductory level courses to challenge students’ preconceived notions about science, weather and climate, and gender roles in the STEM field." Read more about this year's Mungo awards. She joins three other geographers who have won this award: Meredith DeBoom, Conor Harrison and Gregory Carbone.
