The USC Center for Digital Humanities and the USC Campus GIS Program will host a 5-day GIS workshop, offered FREE OF CHARGE to all USC affiliates from Aug. 8-12. The workshop will be led by Kevin Remington, USC Campus GIS Coordinator, along with several other GIS instructors from the USC and local GIS professional community, and will feature a mix of instructor-led presentations and demonstrations, collaborative problem-solving based exercises, group discussions, and hands-on self-paced learning opportunities, covering a broad array of popular existing geospatial technologies and techniques, as well as several emerging technologies that are on the horizon.
If you have a geospatial-related component in your research or workflow that you would like assistance with, need a refresher on some of your existing GIS skills and knowledge, or if you are brand-new to GIS and are simply wanting to learn, this workshop will be a great opportunity for you to do so in a friendly, small group, and FREE setting!
