Research
Luke's research aims to characterize the evolutionary forces and molecular mechanisms responsible for floral trait variation in the genus Penstemon. His work includes examining the role of adaptive introgression in the repeated evolution of hummingbird pollination and using natural hybrid zones to identify the genetic loci underlying these transitions.
