Morgan Morris-Inabinet

Morgan Morris Inabinet is responsible for risk assessment, emergency management, and regulatory compliance for UofSC’s international activities. In her role, she designs protocols and policies to support students, staff, and faculty traveling abroad for study, research, and other university-related purposes.

Prior to entering the field of international education, Morgan worked in international law enforcement within the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, DC.

As an undergraduate, she spent a summer studying Mandarin in Suzhou, China; a semester completing coursework focused on the European Union in France, Germany, and Belgium; and a semester completing an internship at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland. She holds leadership positions in the OSAC Women in Security Group and Pulse, a national network of international health, safety, and security professionals in higher education. She is also a member of the NAFSA Education Abroad Regulatory Practice Committee and the OSAC Academic Working Group. Recently, she has presented an e-Learning Seminar with NAFSA on HIPAA and FERPA compliance and collaborated with the U.S. Department of State on a webinar about Travel Advisories and a conference presentation on emergency resources for U.S. citizens traveling internationally.

In her spare time, Morgan enjoys hiking, cooking, taking day trips around the Carolinas, planning her dream hypothetical vacations with her husband in a very detailed and color-coded spreadsheet, and spending time with her 15-year-old beagle.
