Setup Multifactor Authentication
The University requires the use of multifactor authentication to access various university systems.
Setup Multifactor in the Manage User Account section of MyAccount.sc.edu. You can follow the steps found in these"Multifactor Authentication for new students" instructions.
Students, faculty, and staff may connect to the “eduroam” network with their University ID and Password. The network requires your device to have virus protection. Please avoid using the “uscguest” network.
- Connect your devices to the eduroam by selecting the network, then entering your network username followed by @ds.sc.edu.
- Then enter the password associated with your network username.
Individuals who have already returned to campus and previously connected to eduroam may need to “forget” the network and reconnect to it. Instructions are available for Apple and Windows.

If you are having trouble with wireless connectivity, try turning off and on your wireless antenna. If this does not solve your problem, restart your device. If you are still having trouble, please contact us for assistance.

The School of Law Academic Technology Department does not provide support for office phone issues. If you need office phone support, you can open up a ticket with University Division of IT Telephone Services.
Student Printing Kiosks: Students may use the Commons Area Workstations to perform basic computing functions
and to print to our two Student Printing Kiosks in the Commons Area. Students will
print using PrintMe as the print selection on the workstations. Students can also email documents to
print@printme.com for use with the Student Printing Kiosks.
Instructions on how to use the Student Printing Kiosks and pricing for the Student
Printing Kiosks can be found on the University's Student Printing Kiosks web page.
Logging in: Use your Network ID and Password to sign-in to the commons area computers.
Printing: When you are ready to print, email your document as an attachment to print@printme.com and use the Student Printing Kiosks located in the corner of the Commons.
PDF Printing: When printing PDF documents, first save your PDF document to the computer and then email it to print@printme.com to print to the Student Printing Kiosks.
TWEN Printing: We recommend exporting documents to the desktop that are from TWEN as a PDF and then emailing them for printing.
Scanning: Students can scan for free using the Student Printing Kiosks. Press Scan on the touch panel and follow the directions.
The circulation desk in the library can also assist you with free scanning documents
using the Book Eye Scanner found on the first floor of the library.
Lexis printing: As you walk into the Commons from the locker area, to the left is an alcove area with cabinets and a counter top. The Lexis printer is located in that alcove in the back corner. Please note: Please approach the library’s reference desk for assistance with the Lexis printer. The Academic Technology department is not responsible for the Lexis printer, and cannot provide support for it.
A laptop is required for law school. Make sure your computer meets our Recommended Minimum Specifications. Many standard configurations have been made available by Apple and Dell at Education pricing.
Windows 10: Users can acquire a free copy of Windows 10 Education. Follow instruction in this knowledge base article to get started.
Office 365: To get Office365 for free, sign-into your student email. Click on the Gear icon in the upper right and select “Office 365”.

Blackboard: Most online classes are taught using the University’s Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) Please view our Tutorial for an introduction to Blackboard at the University.
