Biography:
Victoria Kuykendall is a GTA and teacher of record at USC, where she is currently
a PhD Candidate for her Ph.D. in British Literature. She received her MA (thesis:
“Wonderland: Myth or Fairy-tale?”) and BA at Texas State University, where she also
worked as a teacher of record. She is a six-time published author in the following
works: CC&D Magazine: The New World, CC&D Magazine: Nothing Lasts, CC&D Magazine:
Negative Space, Expressions!, AIPF, and provost magazine Cuentos and Testimonies II:
Students’ Voices, Inclusion, & Anti-Racism (to which she also worked as a peer reviewer).
Victoria’s research areas include British literature, children’s literature, medieval
literature, renaissance literature, Victorian literature, Elizabethan literature,
romantic literature, feminist literature, disability studies, and race/ethnicity studies.
In her commitment to equality, she has attended an international conference (2019
Southwest Conference on Latin American Studies in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico) to
present her paper “Zootopia: A Positive Critical Discourse Analysis on Tackling Sexism
and Racism.” She is currently working on her next Novella while championing accessibility
for online learning.
