Biography:
I am an English Literature PhD student from Irmo, SC, which is about 15 minutes from Columbia. Before attending USC, I got my undergraduate degree (BA English Literature, BA Linguistics) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my Masters in Divinity at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. My primary area of interest so far is the intersection of theology and politics in Late Medieval and Early Modern literature, specifically epic poetry, and in the evaluation of these works of literature as providing teachings applicable to our contemporary circumstances. I currently live in Columbia with my cat Milo and spend my time outside school teaching swim lessons, hanging out with my family, and doing jigsaw puzzles. One of my life's ambitions is to learn to drive a bus.
