Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

"By attending Salkehatchie I have become more confident in not only myself but my professional abilities, as well. When you have professors who believe in you and go that extra mile just to see you succeed, you begin to believe in yourself and accomplish your dreams."

- Taylor Brown, Class of 2014

In partnership with USC Beaufort (USCB), students at USC Salkehatchie have the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. While completing pre-nursing coursework, USC Salkehatchie students apply for admission to USCB’s nursing program. Those accepted complete the program on USC Salkehatchie’s East campus and participate in clinical rotations in and around the Salkehatchie region. The BSN program is approved by the South Carolina Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Upon successful completion of the BSN program, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Please contact April Williams, Administrative Assistant and Pre-Nursing Advisor, at (803) 812-7435 if you have questions regarding admission to the program and/or program requirements.

Simulation Training

Thanks to funding from private foundations, USC Salkehatchie now offers high fidelity simulation training. The new lab provides nursing students and area healthcare providers with a centrally located, state-of-the-art, dynamic simulation lab training facility, eliminating travel for simulation activities.

100% Pass Rate

For the sixth straight year, graduates of our rigorous program earned a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Licensure Exam (NCLEX), with an overall pass rate of 99% since our first graduating class in 2010.
