Skills attained through STEM education include problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, decision making, leadership, entrepreneurship and more. With a STEM degree, you’ll be prepared for many high-paying career opportunities after college.

Scholarships and Incentives

STEM scholarships are available for eligible students majoring in approved science, technology, engineering or math fields. Additionally, students have the opportunity to represent the USC Salkehatchie STEM program in our community through our paid ambassador program.

Opportunities

The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie STEM Program partners with Savannah River Reuse Organization, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions and Department of Energy  throught the WORC grant to provide scholarships and paid internal internships as well as paid  external internships to students enrolled at our campus. These grant funds also support STEM professors and provide STEM outreach.
