Clubs

College is what you make it! Get involved in one of our student organizations to maximize your fun.

Student Ambassadors are a select group of Salkehatchie students who assist with recruiting new students to the campus and making sure the community is aware of the value of our institution. Ambassadors assist with taking visitors on campus tours, making visits to area schools, and representing the institution at community events.

Candidates must be recommended by a member of the faculty or staff, have been a student for at least one semester, be a full-time Salkehatchie student in good standing, and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Ambassadors should enjoy working with people, be interested in serving the University, and be excited about sharing their experience as part of the Salkehatchie family.

A total of 29 students from two houses (one Allendale and one in Walterboro) make up the SGA. Each house is comprised of a vice president, secretary, treasurer, parliamentarian, and 10 senators, all united under one president. The campus of the president alternates each year.

As a member of SGA, you will represent your fellow students’ ideas or concerns during meetings with your house and with the entire SGA and school administration. You will also serve as a student ambassador for both your campus and USC Salkehatchie at local and statewide events.

SGA is not all work and no play! SGA members plan and participate in various student events, charity fundraisers, and seasonal parties throughout the year. SGA makes student life fun!
