Self Service Carolina Financial Aid Help

Below are some step-by-step instructions that will get you the financial aid and related information you’re looking for on Self Service Carolina.  If you have recently been admitted and have not yet done so, you will need to claim your account by following the instructions for account claiming for admitted students.

  1. Log in to Self Service Carolina (SSC) at https://my.sc.edu/ .
  2. Click “Financial Aid” tab.
  3. Select Award
  4. Choose Award for Aid Year under the Financial Aid Awards section.
  5. Select Campus (Continue)
  6. Select the appropriate academic year from the drop-down menu; submit.
  7. Select the Award Overview tab.
  1. Log in to Self Service Carolina (SSC) at https://my.sc.edu/ .
  2. Click “Financial Aid” tab.
  3. Select Award
  4. Choose Award for Aid Year in the Financial Aid Awards section.
  5. Select Campus [if applicable] (Continue)
  6. Select the appropriate academic year from the drop-down menu; submit.
  7. Select the Accept Award Offer tab.
  8. Accept or decline awards as desired based on the available options
  9. Submit Decision

(NOTE: If you have been awarded a LIFE or SNBG you can complete the required certification by going to the Terms and Conditions tab, once complete the accept offer will appear. If you have been awarded LTAP you must complete the required certification. Click on the ‘Resource/Additional Information’ tab. Review the certificate to either accept or decline the award.)

  1. Log in to Self Service Carolina (SSC) at https://my.sc.edu/ .
  2. Click “Financial Aid” tab.
  3. Select Eligibility
  4. Choose Student Requirements in the Financial Aid section.
  5. Items “required” are outstanding and need to be completed; items “satisfied” are already complete. Blue links mean there is a document for you to download and complete or a website for you to complete additional steps.
  1. Log in to Self Service Carolina (SSC) at https://my.sc.edu/ .
  2. Click “Financial Aid” tab.
  3. Select Award
  4. Choose Award for Aid Year in the Financial Aid section.
  5. Select Campus [if applicable] (Continue)
  6. Select the appropriate academic year from the drop-down menu; submit.
  7. Click the Award Overview tab.
  8. Click Print
  9. An identical window will open. Right click on the page in the new window. Select Print if a paper copy is needed.

  2. Click “Financial Aid” tab.
  3. Select Eligibility
  4. Select Campus (Continue)
  5. Select the appropriate academic year from the drop-down menu; submit.
  6. Select the Academic Progress tab
  7. Read the message and view the status.

  1. Log in to Self Service Carolina (SSC) at https://my.sc.edu/ .
  2. Click Account Information tab
  3. Click on Sign Up for Direct Deposit
  4. Select the e-Refund tab
  5. Click on the Set-up Account tab. If you have previously set up an account, you will only have the option to edit or remove the existing account. Please use personal checking accounts only.
  6. Type in the Routing Number and the Account Number.
  7. Next, fill in the Billing Information for the account.
  8. Create an identifying name for the account and key this in the Save Payment Method As area. Then click Continue.
  9. Read the agreement terms. If you still want to set up a direct deposit account, click the I Agree box and click Continue to complete your transaction.
  10. You will receive a confirmation message if your account was successfully saved.
