Senior Citizen Tuition

If you are a South Carolina resident who is 60 years old or older, State law provides you with tuition exemption so that you can take classes at a state college or university tuition free on a space-available basis. Visit the Senior Citizens Tuition Waiver Guide to learn more

 

Tax Benefits

You may qualify for a South Carolina Tuition Tax Credit if you meet the qualifications. Qualifying students who attend a South Carolina university can receive a credit up to 50% of tuition paid, limited to $1500. Visit the South Carolina Department of Revenue to learn more about eligibility requirements. Use the Tuition Tax Credit Form (I-319) to claim the credit if filing by paper, or the tax credits section of your filing software.
