Student Affairs and Academic Support

Events

Small group discussions and division-wide meetings offer you chances throughout the year to learn more about trends and issues, enhance your skills and develop relationships with your colleagues across the division.

Division Meetings

All Student Affairs and Academic Support employees are encouraged to take part in our division meetings, held once each semester. The meetings feature campus and national experts discussing trends and issues in higher education and student affairs. Take a look at slides from some of our past meetings.

Workshops

Smaller-scale workshops focus on professional development, networking and social interaction. The informal setting provides opportunities to build relationships between new and established members of our division.

New Employee Orientation

At the beginning of each semester, New Employee Orientation helps new employees create connections across the division, chat with the division’s associate vice presidents and learn about professional development opportunities available to them through Student Affairs and Academic Support.

New Graduate Assistant and Intern Orientation

All new graduate assistants and interns within the division, regardless of program of study, are invited to orientation each fall. The program helps new graduate assistants and interns create connections across the division and learn about professional development opportunities available to them through Student Affairs and Academic Support.

Annual Conference

The division conference held each spring features a keynote address,  breakout sessions and panel discussions. It's open to all Student Affairs and Academic Support staff and graduate students.
