Final registration period for Discover USC 2024
This year, Discover USC will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
- Registration closes for presenters on Friday, March 1. Faculty, remind your students to register here by the deadline.
- Organizers are still seeking eligible participants to serve as reviewers, please register here by Friday, March 22 to be a reviewer. Eligibility requirements for reviewers are listed on the sign-up form.
Frederick National Laboratory Seminar Talk: New Cell Cycle Inhibitors Eradicate Aneuploid Cancers
Dr. Ethan Dmitrovsky, the Director of the Frederick National Laboratory will be visiting campus on March 11 and 12. Dr. Dmitrovsky is scheduled to give a seminar talk titled “New Cell Cycle Inhibitors Eradicate Aneuploid Cancers.” The Frederick National Laboratory is the only national lab dedicated to life sciences which arranges collaborative research and provides unique services, with an annual budget close to $1 billion. The talk will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12 in the Coker Building, room 211. The seminar is sponsored by the COBRE Center for Targeted Therapeutics, as well as the USC College of Pharmacy. There is no pre-registration, simply come and learn about Dr. Dmitrovsky’s work with your colleagues and friends. 2024 RISE Grants provide support for faculty summer research projects at USC system campuses
The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce 29 recipients of the 2024 Research Initiative for Summer Engagement (RISE) program grant awards. These outstanding faculty researchers from USC’s system campuses will receive RISE funding to support their summer research projects. The second annual Research Core Fair is three weeks away!
The University of South Carolina is hosting a Research Core Fair on Friday, March 15, 2024, to spotlight the wealth of resources at the university that are available to researchers. The Research Core Fair is open to all USC students, faculty and staff. New schedule updates and talk titles are available on our website now. Students and postdocs who wish to present a poster at the fair should submit their abstract by Friday, March 1, 2024. We encourage USC graduate and professional students, Principal Investigators, and those from other institutions who are interested in learning more about the USC Research Cores to register to attend the fair by March 8, 2024.
ASPIRE program seeks 2024 faculty research proposals

ASPIRE 2024 applications are due via USCeRA before 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
