Transfer Success

Student Organizations

The Carolina Experience office is the home to two campus student organizations for transfer students. These organizations are a great way to get connected as a new transfer student. You must be a current USC student to join.

Association of Transfer Students

The Association of Transfer Students is a student organization for transfer students created by transfer students. The purpose of the ATS is to assist transfer students as they transition to the University of South Carolina and foster a community that will support them academically, socially, and emotionally.

One-time dues are $20 and can only be paid online.

Connect with ATS on Garnet Gate.

Tau Sigma Honor Society

Tau Sigma is a national honor society designed exclusively to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.”

Tau Sigma membership is by invitation only.

If you are a transfer student to the USC Columbia Campus, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours during your first semester and have achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher during your first semester, be on the lookout for an invitation to join Tau Sigma.

One-time dues are $50 and are paid to the national office once the invite is sent and then the student accepts the membership.
