October Produce

 

Still life on large, horizontal canvas. October produce such as pumpkins and other vegetables are depicted. Oranges and yellows are the dominating colors, while purple, red, and blue provide contrast.

Painted by Philip Mullen in 1995. Mullen is a renowned artist that has been exhibited nationally and internationally. His work is not only part of the permanent collections at McKissick Museum, but also the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., Brooklyn Museum in New York, Sonje Museum of Contemporary Art in South Korea, among others. He specializes in the use of acrylic paints.

Piece is on loan from the McKissick Museum.
