Held on the 3rd Thursday of each month this clinic is a collaboration between the SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center and the VA. The Clinic offers screened veterans with legal issues such as expungements. wills, child support. No VA Benefits services provided. Students will assist with intake and processing.

Purpose of pro bono opportunity
- To provide opportunities for law students to work along side attorneys and clients
- To provide skills development and enhancement opportunities for law students
- To create an awareness of the problems faced by veterans
- To create and awareness of the services available to assist veterans
Requirements or qualifications
Law students must
- be a good academic standing
- complete and submit the Volunteer Enrollment Form
- have an interest in serving the veteran population
Responsibilities of organizations
Lawyers 4 Vets must:
- agree to properly supervise the work of the law student
- provide clear and timely instructions
- seek opportunities to expose the students to various tasks
- provide feedback when possible.
Responsibilities of the students
The students must:
- communicate effectively and efficiently with the Lawyers 4 Vets Clinic staff
- complete tasks in a timely and competent manner
- seek assistance when needed
- perform duties professionally
