Congratulations to Kexun Chen! He won the Guy F. Lipscomb award at the Graduate Symposium Competition for the Senior Graduate Student Achievement Awards.
The central theme of our research is to use physical chemistry approaches to tackle challenging problems in materials and biological sciences. We perform cutting-edge research at the interface of physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials science, and biology with a major focus on using physical chemistry approaches, specifically spectroscopies and electrochemistry, to gain deep insights into novel nanostructured material systems and complicated biomolecular processes. We welcome motivated young scientists to join our group. We do research because we all love science.
Congratulations to Kexun Chen! He won the Guy F. Lipscomb award at the Graduate Symposium Competition for the Senior Graduate Student Achievement Awards.
Congratulations to Will! His paper on covellite nanodisks and digenite nanorings has been accepted for publicaiton in Chemistry of Materials. It was nice collaborating with Prof. Song Guo of University of Southern Mississippi on this project.
Congratulations to Qingfeng and Kexun! Their paper on plasmon-driven decarboxylation reactions has been accepted for publication in J. Phys. Chem. C.
Congratulations to Will! Will Sun successfully passed his Ph.D. dissertation defense. He is the 6th Ph.D. out of Wang Group. He will be a postdoc at Virginia Tech.
We received funding from the ACS PRF New Direction Program to support our work on nanocatalysis.
We received a grant from the Clene Nanomedicine Inc. to support our work on metal nanozymes.
Congratulations to Kexun! Our invited Review Article on plasmon-driven photocatalytic molecular transformations has been accepted for publication in Molecular Systems Design & Engineering.
Congratulations to Zixin! She received a SPARC award from the Office of Vice President for Research to support her work on nanozymes.
