Stephanie Nace is a Graphic Designer and Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University. 

Stephanie’s research includes experimental typography, book arts and she also freelances in Graphic Design. Her clients have been local and national. Her work has been recognized and awarded both nationally and internationally. She has received awards from PRINT, AIGA, UCDA and PICA. She has work in the permanent collection at the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, CA. 

Stephanie had also curated and participated in exhibits featuring book arts. These exhibits have been both solo and group shows. They include University of Virginia, SanyMyung University of Design, Korea, Kellogg University Art Gallery, California State, Polytechnic University and Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Minneapolis, MN, to name a few. 

Stephanie’s greatest joy is working with students. In her years at the University of South Carolina she has taught all level of graphic design. She successfully mentored students to be awarded Magellan Undergraduate Research Scholarships. She has also been involved with the First-Year Reading Experience for the past 20 years. Stephanie sees the success of the Graphic Design + Illustration program in the alumnus’ achievements. Alumni have design positions at Nike, Google, Lyft, Bumble, Paper Source, Aeropostale, RIGGS partners, ByFarr Design Studio, The Half and Half, Stitch, The Charlotte Hornets, Auburn University Athletics, University of South Carolina Football, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and The South Carolina Lottery.
