On January 24th, graduate students and faculty participated in the first Carolinas Conflict Consortium at UNC Charlotte. This mini-conference organized by Assistant Professor Chelsea Estancona and UNCC Professor Jim Walsh showcased work about topics such as sanctions, extrajudicial killings, protest events, and water scarcity. The day-long event provided participants from both universities with the opportunity to present, discuss, and workshop research in progress. USC students Sanghoon Park, Shaoshuang Wen, and Yuleng Zeng as well as Assistant Professor Juan Tellez all presented research. The organizers plan to make this a recurring event, with the next CCC meeting held at the University of South Carolina.
