Internships

Build skills in public service and grow your network while completing the Master of Public Administration. You might continue your work in a government or nonprofit agency, or embrace an internship to explore new opportunities that may turn into a full-time career.

MPA Internship Requirement

Through job shadowing, I formed important relationships and realized that no matter where you start out, there’s always room for growth and so many avenues you can pursue in state government.

Kiley Cosby
An internship in a public agency or nonprofit organization is required in the MPA program. This requirement is waived for professionals already working in the field. The internship is an integral part of the curriculum, as it gives students an opportunity to experience the real world of public service.
