In honor of Women's Month (March), Savannah Keating was interviewed about her role as president of the Alliance for Women in STEM (AWS) by Soda City Live. AWS is an undergraduate student organization for not just women, but any marginalized groups within STEM. They offer support and resources for members planning to pursue graduate school or enter the workforce after graduation. It is not strictly an academic club as they also host movie nights and other social events to enable members to make friends within STEM. Concerning Keating's goals, she is an Anthropology and Biology double major who hopes to continue her research and work as a professor after attending graduate school. She was inspired by her mom, who is her biggest female role model and pursued a chemistry degree when she was in college. Watch her interview for more details!
