| Training Description | The CLC will provide interactive, intensive legal training on preparing for and participating in family court child protection hearings. This training will be mandatory for new child welfare staff following completion of pre-service training. The training was designed to equip new DSS caseworkers with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to effectively prepare for and participate in court proceedings, with an emphasis on testimony. The curriculum includes lectures, practice exercises, demonstrations, and a simulated mock trial exercise followed by one-on-one constructive feedback and coaching. |
