| Training Name | GAL/CASA Training: Exploring the DSS Case from the Defendant’s Viewpoint |
| Training Description | This training, offered exclusively for current staff, guardians, and attorneys with the Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program and Richland County CASA, will explore the DSS case from the viewpoint of the defendant. The panel will feature an Indigent Defense Contract Attorney for family court, a GAL/CASA staff professional, a DSS supervisor, and the SC GAL Program General Counsel. Time will be allowed for questions and discussion to ensure those who complete the training will have enhanced knowledge to better advocate for the children they serve in their respective cases. |
