| Training Name | Guardian ad Litem Attorney Training |
| Training Description | This training offered to Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program attorneys and Richland County CASA attorneys will cover best legal practices, case law updates, and advocacy skills training. In addition, the training will include a panel of experts from DJJ, DDSN, DMH, and DSS to discuss complexities and challenges involving the placement and care of youth and families involved with multiple agencies. This in-person training will be offered at the SC Fire Academy in Columbia, SC. Virtual attendance will also be offered to GAL volunteers for the morning panel session. Attorney trainees must attend in person to receive CLE credit. There is no charge for this training. *Limited in-person space is available for GAL and CASA volunteers and staff serving the Midlands region for the morning panel session which is from 9am-12pm.* |
