Our library is a resource for USC Union students and faculty, as well as members of the community.

Our Mission

The mission of the USC Union Library is to support the educational goals of the campus while adhering to the overall academic mission of the University. The library accomplishes its mission in the following ways: by building and maintaining comprehensive collections of resources that support the academic offerings of the curriculum available to USC union’s students, faculty, staff, and other patrons throughout Union County and the immediate area; by instructing students and library patrons in effective methods to locate and retrieve the information they seek; and by utilizing the most advanced technologies available to provide additional access to information needed to successfully meet the academic needs of USC Union and its community.

Community Patron Policy

The USC Union Library chiefly serves the students and faculty of USC Union, but is also open to the public. You must have a library card with a barcode to check out books. You may receive a card free from the circulation desk with a valid Driver's License that shows a correct mailing address. Book check out is limited to 3, provided that the patron is in good standing with the library (no fees or overdue books).

Computer Use

Due to restrictions placed by vendors on electronic resource usage and the limited number of computers available, only USC students, faculty, and staff have full computer privileges in the USC Union Library. All patrons may use the four computers in the front of the library to access the University online catalog. These computers are to be used for the purpose of resource location only, with students and faculty having priority.
