Success Consultations

We facilitate partnerships between Peer Consultants and students who are committed to developing the tools needed to succeed. Consultations include Success Consultations, First-Gen Success Consultations, and Transfer Success Consultations. 

Success Consultation

Discuss academic strategies with a Peer Consultant and co-create a plan to maximize your potential for success on topics such as:

  • Academic Success & Study Skills
  • Preparing for Exams
  • Motivation & Discipline
  • Procrastination & Prioritization

Success Consultations are available to all students.

First-Gen Success Consultation

Discuss success strategies that are tailored to first-generation college students with a Peer Consultant. Strategies can include but are not limited to academic success, money management, involvement, and campus resources. 

First-Gen Success Consultations are available to all students who identify as a first-generation college student.

Transfer Success Consultation

Discuss success strategies that are tailored to first-time transfer students with a Peer Consultant. Strategies can include but are not limited to academic success, involvement, and campus resources. 

Transfer Success Consultations are available to all students who identify as a first-time transfer student.

Meet the Peer Consultants

Peer Consultants are trained undergraduate leaders who understand firsthand what it is like to be a student at the University of South Carolina. They are willing to share their personal experiences and their knowledge of campus resources to help you. Peer Consultants are trained on the Success Consultation, First Gen Success Consultation, and Transfer Success Consultation curriculums.
