Academic Engagement Peer Consultant (AEPC)
AEPC's assist with matters concerning the National Student Exchange program, Mutual Expectations, and meet with sophomore students in part with the SophoMORE Initiative.
Peer leaders are trained through the College Reading and Learning Association International Training Certification to provide quality assistance to enrolled University of South Carolina students and to empower them to be independent learners.
The application for Fall 2022 positions has now closed. Some recruitment efforts will take place over the summer for specific Peer Tutor and Supplemental Instructor needs, and more details will be available in the coming weeks. Please email any questions to sasscpln@mailbox.sc.edu

about available positions, benefits, requirements, and the application process.

PC's meet 1-on-1 with students in Success Consultations to discuss academic strategies and co-create a plan to maximize the student's potential for success.
PFC's host 1-on-1 consultations with students to help maximize their understanding of fiscal matters that may affect them– from Basic Budgeting & Financial Goal Setting to Student Loan Repayment & Education.
Peer Tutors facilitate drop-in tutoring, as well as 1-on-1 tutoring appointments with students who may be struggling with a specific course.
Peer Writing Tutors can help students at any step of the writing process via drop-in or 1-on-1 appointments. They are experienced with lab reports, research papers, rhetorical analysis, presentations, close reading assignments, creative writing, speeches, and public speaking.
SI Leaders are paid to sit in on classes that they have already taken and performed well in so that they can take notes and host weekly group study sessions for their peers in the class.
