The University of South Carolina is asking students, faculty and staff for their help to determine how widespread COVID-19 has been in our community by getting a no cost (FREE) antibody test. An antibody requires a simple blood draw. The whole process could take as little as 10 minutes. Results should be back in 2-3 days and posted to your MyHealthSpace account.
Tests are available at the Laboratory on the first floor of the Center for Health and Well-Being. Laboratory hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Antibody tests are not meant to replace S.A.F.E. saliva-based or nasal swab testing nor to diagnose an active infection. Rather, the test will enhance the university’s understanding of the pandemic. Students, faculty and staff should be tested regularly for COVID-19.
To ensure your visit is as efficient as possible, please upload your health insurance card to MyHealthSpace. Also, make sure you have completed the Treatment Agreement & Notice of Privacy Practices and the Permission to File Insurance form.
