Background
Alisa Liggett works proactively and reactively to address behaviors that may interrupt students’ personal and academic well-being. She is the Assistant Dean of Students and has the joy of overseeing the Office of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity and the Student Care and Outreach Team. She has enjoyed her tenure with the USC community for 25 years and has been part of the Care Team’s expansion to address more student needs since its inception. She thrives on creating campus networks that support students of concern and working with faculty to better understand what can influence the students in their classroom, from managing the use of distractive technology in the classroom and the cheating economy. She is delighted to be involved in the Gamecock CommUnity Shop which provides free food, clothing, and supplies to the USC community as part of the Care Team. Alisa has a Master's of Science in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University and a BA in Public Relations from the University of South Flordia.
Alisa is a U101 instructor, the staff advisor for USC’s chapter of Best Buddies International and is a yoga teacher. She is also a proud alumna of the University of South Florida and Florida State University.
Alisa's farovite tenet of the Carolinian Creed is “I will respect the dignity of all persons” because each student and member of our campus community deserves our care and to be able to bring their whole selves to the spaces they want to learn and grow.
