Appeals

An appeal is a request for procedural review.

Submit Your Appeal

Following the date of your hearing, you will be granted five business days to submit your appeal.

Appealing Your Hearing

You can only appeal if:

  • deviation from procedural rules prejudiced the findings of the committee.
  • new evidence has become available that was not available at the time of the hearing.

Who reviews appeals?

Appeals are reviewed by different faculty and staff members depending on the type of case. The Committee on Academic Responsibility, a faculty group organized within the Faculty Senate, reviews Honor Code appeals. The Vice President of Student Affairs, or designee, reviews Code of Conduct appeals.
