    Navigating the Columbia Campus

Incoming Students

Parking and Transportation is here to help you successfully find your way around the Columbia campus.  We can assist in purchasing a parking permit for your vehicle, moped or motorcycle, finding information about transportation services offered, and avoiding parking tickets.

Types of Campus Parking

  1. Surface Parking - $110 per year
This permit type grants parking based on availability in designated lots around campus, but it does not guarantee a parking space. These lots include all S and GS for students and AD for all campus community members with a permit.
  2. Garage Parking - $400 per semester
This permit guarantees a parking space in a specific garage or surface lot. You may select one garage where your permit will be valid, and spaces are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Each garage is accessed with your Carolina Card, except for Pendleton St. Garage.

Campus Village Residents

Students living in the Campus Village residence halls will be invited by email to sign up  for a lottery to purchase a space in the Campus Village Garage, Campus Village Lot, or Horizon Garage.  You should receive your invitation the week of June 19.

We also offer a Rides On Demand service during the evenings, Game Day shuttles, and shuttles for Gateway students.
