Permanent Residency

USC sponsors tenure-track faculty for permanent residency through EB-2 Faculty Labor Certification, a Special Handling process that allows for application for permanent residency, also known as a Green Card. This allows foreign nationals to live and work permanently in the United States.

ISSS begins processing cases as soon as we receive a signed offer letter. Please send signed offer letters to ISSS as soon as possible to avoid lost processing time.

Document Collection

Submit the ISSS IS - Hiring Packet for Permanent Residency form with the following information and attachments:

Signed offer letter
Submitted hiring proposal (HP from PeopleAdmin - example)
Position description (PD or USC job posting in PeopleAdmin - example)
Position advertisements, including a national professional publication; dates of postings; images of postings/tearsheets (examples)
Application Spreadsheet for PERM.xlsx (include all applicants)
Employer Statement of Recruitment Results for PERM.docx
CVs of all finalists
