Rotterdam has been a hub of international trade and commerce for centuries and is home to many multinational and local enterprises. Over the past 40 years, Rotterdam School of Management has firmly established its reputation as one of Europe's leading business schools and is included in the 1% of schools worldwide with Triple Crown accreditation. The program at RSM offers a diverse array of courses within the International Business Administration (IBA) program

This program does not offer organized excursions, however exchange students at RSM have the opportunity for individual travel.

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Education Abroad Office for more details. Additionally, international students in the Netherlands are required by law to have adequate health insurance. Students can purchase insurance from a Dutch provider for approximately 40€ per month or show proof of adequate coverage carried by another policy.

Accommodation can be pre-arranged with the "Stichting Studentenhuisvesting Rotterdam " housing agency. Most rooms are between €500 and €600 per month depending on location, size, type and facilities. All apartments are fully furnished and located in and near Rotterdam or the university.

The RSM academic calendar is divided into three Trimesters: Trimester 1 (September to November or December), Trimester 2 (January through March), & Trimester 3 (March through June). IB students will attend RSM during the spring semester (Trimester 2 & 3).

RSM holds an Integration Program for exchange students in the 1st week of Trimester 2 which includes a field trip, workshops, and other activities. Exchange students are also assigned "buddies", local students who will help them get acquainted with the university, the city of Rotterdam and acclimating to their new environment. The Erasmus Student Network offers activities, events, city trips, and also airport pickup service for all international students.

Exchange students who are US citizens do not need a visa to enter the Netherlands but they will need to apply for a residence permit. A residence permit is a document that states your identity, your nationality, and your right to reside in the Netherlands. RSM will help you apply for this permit which costs approximately 250€.
