UofSC's exchange program at Audencia Business School in Nantes, France is designed to expose American students to French life and culture as well as international business practices. With over 100 partner universities from 43 countries worldwide, as an exchange student, you will fit right in.

As France's sixth largest city, students can take advantage of the long and rich history in the city of Nantes with all the amenties that a larger city would have to offer in a smaller setting. Nantes is located on the Loire River and has access to museums, cathedrals, and castles that give you a glimpse into the past. Nantes has a great public transportation in the city and in connection to other cities in France like Paris and Lyon.

To get an idea of ​​life on site, you will find on the numbeo website indications on the cost of living in Nantes compared to 250 other countries in the world. Students should plan for $750-1,000 a month for living expenses outside of housing. 

Students typically take 30 ECTS per semester, which corresponds to 15 UofSC credit hours. The program at Audnciaoffers a diverse array of courses, many classes are taught in English and studentswho have C1 language skills may take coursework in French. Students also have the opportunity to take French as a Foreign Language at various levels for French language credit.

The program does not offer organized excursions, but students do have the opportunity for individual travel. 

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Education Abroad Office for more details.

On campus housing at Audencia is not available. Students can choose from several housing options including student residences, homestays, and private apartments. Once nominated to Audencia, students will  be able to access Audencia's housing platform to start the process. Students are encouraged to start the housing process as soon as nominations are made. 

In the spring, classes typically begin in January and end in May.

Audencia provides an orientation to welcome all international students and provide them with general and academic information, assist them with processing their different administrative formalities, as well as organizing cultural events.

Students who attend Audencia for a semester are required to register with Campus France and must apply in person at a VFS global office for a visa.
