The process for studying abroad can be intimidating, so the Capstone Scholars Office is here to help you reach your travel goals! You can find a rough timeline below for the Capstone-exclusive study abroad programs in 2023. Please refer to the program pages for more specific information and dates for each program. Research the study abroad programs available to you. Decide which part of the world you’d like to travel to, or which classes you are particularly interested in. Complete the Education Abroad 101 blackboard course available through the Education Abroad Office website. Schedule an advising appointment through the Education Abroad Office website. Check your passport to make sure it is valid for international travel in 2023.
The applications for Capstone Scholars Spring Break programs open. Attend the Education Abroad Fair on September 20th in the Russell House Ballroom between 9 AM and 5 PM. Keep an eye out for information sessions about upcoming Spring Break programs.
Passport Travel Grant application opens. Make sure to attend the Passport Travel Grant writing workshops available in October! Maymester applications open. Keep an eye open for information sessions for all upcoming study abroad programming. Applications close for Capstone Scholars Spring Break programs.
Passport Travel Grant application closes. Maymester applications close. Keep an eye out for information sessions and acceptance emails! Submit confirmation for Spring Break program attendance, and submit the program fee. Complete the DWI form for Spring Break programs. Submit application for Spring Break study abroad programs through the Education Abroad Office website before the end of the month.
Submit confirmation for Maymester program attendance, and submit the deposit. Complete the DWI form for Maymester programs. Submit acceptance for Passport Travel Grant funding. Applications for the Capstone Scholars Adventure Grant open. Start planning your flight information for Spring Break travel.
Attend information sessions for Spring Break and Maymester classes. Make sure you are enrolled in the appropriate Spring Break course, if applicable. Submit program fee 1 for Maymester programs.
