Civic Engagement Series
Positive community impact isn't just about service. Our civic engagement trainings are designed to discuss the challenges of today's world and equip Capstone Scholars with the education and skills to make a positive impact within the context of their future career goals. Participants are welcome to attend a single training or attend multiple trainings over the course of a year to receive their Civic Engagement Certification.
Day of Service
Each semester, Capstone Scholars have the incredible opportunity to stretch their boundaries beyond Columbia and take part in a service trip to another city. Students volunteer for a few hours in the morning and then have the rest of the afternoon to explore a new place! Past Day of Service trips have included Charleston, Charlotte, and Greenville.
