Capstone Scholars

Standards and Requirements

Capstone Scholars are driven, and we offer a variety of tools and support services to help keep them on the path that leads to achieving their goals.

Semester expectations

We want you to be academically successful. You fulfill this requirement by maintaining a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.

We want you to step outside your comfort zone and set a goal for yourself that challenges you in a meaningful way. This will look differently for each one of you!

You can submit this through the Capstone Scholars organization in Garnet Gate.

Other Expectations

We ask that you to enroll in a University 101 section during your first semester at USC, preferably a section created specifically for Capstone Scholars. Certain majors might be required to take a special section or alternate course in place of UNIV101 (e.g. Engineering majors, Teaching Fellows, & nursing students), for which we make an exception.

Capstone Scholars must have a university scholarship to be competitive for admission into the program. Please note that these scholarships are granted and revoked independently of our office, and more information about your standing with a scholarship can be found through the office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
