Jonathan B. Robson

Battlefield High School
Gainesville, Virginia

Through engaging in only a handful of opportunities the University of South Carolina has to offer, the experiences I've had are a testament of what one can do here.

Impactful experience:
Developing safer and more efficient processes for a major manufacturer right here in the Columbia, SC area using skills learned through coursework and leadership experience.

Enjoy most as a TS:
The people are amazing- there is always someone you can connect with who has a unique perspective to challenge your understanding of the world and open new points of view that you can then explore for life.

Story:
Student organizations on campus here at UofSC are more impactful than I could have ever imagined. Through organizations such as Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity, Gamecock Triathlon Club, and AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers), I developed robust interpersonal and interdisciplinary skills that I am now armed with for life, and I owe it all to fellow students and professors here at the University. While much is learned in the classroom and late nights working, these chances to connect with diverse individuals and have unforgettable experiences with them is truly priceless.

Post-graduate plans:
Graduating in December 2021 due to a co-op term, Jonathan plans to work in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries after graduation. He is interested in either Business or Law school as a supplement to his Engineering background in the coming years.

Career goals/professional aspirations:
To impact the pharmaceutical/manufacturing industries with a technical and conceptual Chemical Engineering perspective developed over a wealth of academic and professional experiences.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
