Without a doubt, the defining experience of my undergraduate career was spending a semester studying abroad in Vietnam, South Africa and Argentina. Not only was it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to three continents in one semester, but it was a chance to compare health care systems around the world and strengthen my foundation in public health. Over the course of 112 days, I rowed a boat through rice paddy fields, came within feet of zebras and elephants, and got soaked by the Iguazu Falls. I practiced three languages, ate countless bowls of pho, and learned more about myself and the world around me than I could have ever imagined. 

Future plans: Rebecca will attend medical school in the fall and is waiting to hear from schools before making her final decision.
