Associate Professor Marius Valdes, Studio Art: Graphic Design + Illustration, was awarded a Health and Wellness Design Award by New York’s Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) magazine for his permanent art installation at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.

This competition has quickly emerged as the most selective of design competitions; there are just 250 winners chosen from roughly 2,500 entries. A selected showcase of the winning projects will appear in late October 2020 in the print, digital, web, and app versions of GDUSA. Print readers and online visitors are expected to exceed 100,000. Other winners include companies such as NIKE, PEPSICO, Pfizer, United Nations, and United Way.
