Congratulations to Studio Art / 3D Studies Professor Naomi J. Falk for receiving the 2020 SECAC Award for Teaching Excellence! This award is given in recognition of outstanding teaching by a SECAC member who demonstrates an exceptional command of his or her discipline through the ability to teach effectively, impart knowledge, and inspire students. 

Earlier in 2020, Professor Falk co-created WhatDoWeDoNow.art, a project-share website to collectively re-envision “the whats, whys, and hows of ‘best practices’ in studio art education” as classrooms transitioned online due to COVID-19. So far it has amassed dozens of contributions from artists and art educators on how to teach the fine arts remotely.
