Research: Wendy works under the mentorship of Dr. Kimberly Becker. In Dr. Becker's lab, Wendy works on a multisite randomized controlled trial examining treatment engagement in school-based mental health services. Her research interest focuses on improving mental health treatments for diverse and disadvantaged youth and families through the dissemination and implementation of culturally-relevant strategies and practices in community settings.
Personal: As a low-income, first-generation college student, and daughter of Chinese immigrants, Wendy is passionate about mentoring diverse and underrepresented students. She has an extensive history of service to the communities around her. Accordingly, Wendy launched a student-focused blog and service on academic and professional development, Academic Breakdown, in 2019. Wendy is originally from San Francisco, enjoys traveling, and identifies as a true foodie.
