The seminar was led by Teresa Bejan (Oxford) and John Rose, Associate Director of the Civil Discourse Project at Duke University, with Gary Saul Morson (Northwestern) serving as a guest lecturer. Its aim was to help faculty from across the country develop and teach a course similar to Rose's “How to Think in an Age of Political Polarization”, designed to help students develop the skills for engaging in open discourse and civil disagreement about controversial social and political topics. Agnes will be teaching a course of the same name in the Honors College this spring.
