Join Mentorship Hub: Become a first-gen mentor for spring 2026!
Join us in building a community of belonging and success at USC—because your guidance as a first-gen mentor can inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
What you can expect as a mentor...
Your commitment to your mentee takes place once a week for at least one hour over six weeks (February 9 - March 20, 2026; excluding the week of spring break).
Here are the steps you'll take to become a mentor:
- Sign up to be a mentor!
- Join us at the Spring 2026 First-Gen Mentor Program Kick-off on January 26 at 6:30 PM (Location TBA). Mentors and mentees will come together to learn more about the program and will see how to create a profile and navigate Mentorship Hub.
Looking for more information?
Our first-gen mentor guide is a great place to start if you are thinking about signing up to be a mentor. See an overview of the program, tips for helping your mentee navigate the college experience, and a list of on- and off-campus resources for you and your mentee.
Supporting first-generation students gives you the opportunity to share your experiences, foster growth, and empower these students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. Together, we can make their first-gen journey extraordinary!
