Recent Graduate Status
Recent USC Columbia graduates retain their student status for one year after graduation and will continue to receive free services, which include:
- access to Handshake, the Career Center's internet-based resource for employment opportunities, resume referrals, on-campus interviewing, other career-related Career Center events and setting up appointments with their designated college or school career coaches
- web-based career resources such as Big Interview to assist with interviewing skills and CareerShift to search for job opportunities
- online assessments including FOCUS, SuperStrong Interest Inventory (free), Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Strong Interest Inventory (nominal fee)

Alumni Status
The definition of Alumni is a graduate of the USC Columbia campus who earned an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Cost for Services
If it has been more than 1 year since you graduated from USC, the fee for alumni career services is $40 per hour, which alumni will need to pay before meeting with the alumni career coach. (If you
graduated within the past year, see Recent Graduate Status above.) One-hour career coaching sessions may consist of planning a career change,
reviewing a resume, developing a job search plan, networking techniques or conducting
a mock interview.
If you are a member of the USC Alumni Association, you will receive three (3), one-hour coaching sessions per year as a part of your membership. If you are not a member and would be interested in joining, please click here for more information.

Even if you are out of town or out of state, you can still use many of our services!
Appointments will be scheduled virtually via Handshake and several of our career fairs have virtual days to meet with employers.
