“Pathways to Whole Health and Non-Pharmacological Intervention for Chronic Pain”

Friday, August 24, 2018
3:30-4:30 pm
Public Health Research Center
Room 107

Topic: Decades of scientific research have shown heart rate variability to be the best all-cause mortality biomarker and, more recently, possibly the best physiologic biomarker for emotional resilience. Heart rate variability biofeedback is an established, versatile and durable method to augment the autonomic nervous system through resonant breathing techniques. As we sit on the cusp of the medical-grade wearable age, shifting payment models, and big data, new platforms will be established that disrupt standard medical care, alter chronic pain management, enhance optimum performance, and break down mental health silos in favor of more patient-centered integrative evidence-based models.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
