The USC Prevention Research Center will host the seminar, "How Faith-Based Initiatives Contribute to Community Health in Greenville, SC," focused on strategies for partnering with faith-based organizations in health initiatives at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6 in the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center (1101 Lincoln Street, Columbia, SC 29201). Speakers will include Reverend Sean Dougan and Peggy Baxter of Long Branch Baptist Church in Greenville and Sally Wills, Executive Director of LiveWell Greenville.   

This symposium will showcase the role of faith-based organizations in LiveWell Greenville, a coalition of more than 150 partners working in concert to make the healthy choice the easy choice in Greenville, South Carolina. LiveWell Greenville’s At Worship workgroup establishes healthier faith communities through healthy eating and active living programs. This workgroup supports congregations as they work to create healthier worship environments.
